Texas Governor Pardons Man

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

A man  rescued from the death penalty just a few hours before his scheduled state performed murder.
The governor of Texas, Rick Perry, agreed with  a parole board  and changed the punishment of Kenneth Foster, who was to die by lethal injection.

Foster, only  30 years old, was the  vehicle driver in a 1996 homocide but his sentence had been criticized as he had zero to do with the bullets being shot.

However, he was found guilty of killing a man and order to be put to  death by the Texas law of parties, which makes non-shooters as much accountable for any crime.
A different condemned person was murdered by the government under the same law previously this year.

The governor feels his decision is right and just, and feel good about making his sentence a life sentence and not a death sentence. I think I would rather be executed than live in a cage.

Its unusual for a parole board to vote to save someone fom death row, but more so in TEXAS. I wonder if the inmate is happy? Perhaps he was ready to go..

Armand Rousso’s Response

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Generally when you read the New Yorks Times you feel like you aren’t just eating meat and potatoes, but have all this best and on a silver platter too. Enter Saul Hansell, like a fly in your soup, to ruin your perfectly good meal.

I think every journalist not only has the burden of research, the toil of producing a good story, but also a moral obligation to get it right, and to be held accountable for inaccuracy, especially when your work is read by so very many, and taken as fact. When your works defame another, and do so in a false matter, you have to answer for it. Well Saul, I hope you read this, and I fervently hope you apologize, in the same public manner you performed this egregious action.

Armand Rousso is a fine man, helping everyone he comes into contact with, which is far more documented than anything he did previously. What’s Mr. Hansell done to improve society one might ask, but people don’t come out nd publicly ask that. And that’s because its worng to put a person down for no reason, instead its praised to point out when a person does good. So today, I will do just that.

Mr. Rousso has created many many jobs, which in turns has enriched the lives those individuals and their families. Thats touching a lot of people, and the creation of jobs is no small feat. The government has yet to duplicate it so effectively in my opinion.

Furthermore, Armand Rousso is a major fundraiser for multiple humanitarian organizations that seek to aid people. These organizations include but are not limited to, Children’s Rights, Notre Dame Refugee Center, the United Nations, the New York School of Medicine. The list of beneficial accomplishments could continue, but even as it stands, how many can make these claims? Can Mr. Hansell?

Accept responsibility for your poorly researched article Saul Hansell, with its misleading words, and slanderous agenda.

Armand Rousso response to NYT story by Saul Hansell has more facts regarding this.

Google Reader

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Along the last couple of years, mostly  every facet of my life has somehow changed, with things only now just beginning  to get calm. After and during all that I finally, I took a bit of time  off and am not traveling or doing anything dramatic. Instead, I’ve used a small but of this recovered moment attempting to re-establish schedules  that erstwhile fell by the wayside.

One of those acts is how I am still caught up, something I did not do so well during this period of chaos. I’ve been testing out different aggregators, trying to discover one that makes me more effective that I can use while on the move. I’d surrendered on the mobile access, mostly because I was peering  at it through my Treo since it’s the one internet access point I without a doubt have on my person. It took me some time, but I just now got time to try Google Reader, and so far I’m very impressed, mostly because of Google Gears. Besides that it’s pretty awesome, it’s insanely advantageous if you’re a laptop user and I believe it has the aptitude to play an important part in the next  couple of years.

In a nut shell, Google Gears is some code that everybody can place  in their online implements to render them acessible offline. It’s built into Google Reader via a single install that doesn’t even ask you to restart your browser. Once utilized, a small icon arrives in the upper right-hand corner, green when online, purple when offline.

It sounds easy enough, but here’s what occurs when you press the green button. Gears downloads all of the posts in your Reader (minus the images) so that you may continue reading when you’re offline. You may still use the standard keyboard commands to move around and  scan your news fast, just like you were online. When you do get back to a live  internet connection, you just click on the purple icon, the Reader returns back online, and it harmonizes your un/read items back to the Google servers, adding to it any things you starred for upcoming reference.

Holidays Approaching

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Wow, its nearly September already, where did the summer go? Labor is this weekend, and soon after we wil have Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then… the mother of all holidays: Christmas.

Hard to think but its not so far off anymore, my mother has already started shopping. I wanted to help her out, and she was quite thankful when I showed her CouponChief.com. She has saved quite a bit, and we all wonder what goodies we will get.

Been looking at the site alot lately myself. I need to save every penny I can. I have found something for everyone through the CouponChief site.

My cat: One of those little carpeted climbing towers, I love those! PetSmart.com has them.

My Mom: I wanna get her some of that StriVectin lotion, shes all about her skin. They have some available at SkinStore.com.

My Sister: She’s simple to shop for, she loves her music. So some music for her new iPod from Wal-Mart

You bet, coupon chief helps me make it simple, and cheaper. Why go in a crowded store filled with people who get in the way and shove you around, when you can shop online , safely, conveniently from the comfort of your own home, and save gas too!

Robot Brain Created

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Researchers from Spain have accomplished a huge feat for robots by constructing the  very first artificial cerebellum to assist them to interact with people. The cerebellum is the part of the mind that guides motor functions.

The project will now install the  cerebellum in a robot so as to convert its actions and interaction with humans to be more natural. The end  goal is to amalgate the cerebellum into a automaton fashioned by the German Aerospace Centre in two year’s time. The scientists plan that their labor will also payoff in hints on how to cure or alleiviate cognitive diseases like Parkinson’s

The 4-year project, named Sensopac (SENSOrimotor structuring of perception and action for emerging cognition) is financed by the EU under its Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and combines physicists, neuroscientists and electronic engineers fromthe best universities in Europe.

The researchers at the University of Granada are focusing on the layout of microchips that comprise a full nervous system, mimicking  the fashion the cerebellum works with the human nervous system.

Installing the man-made cerebellum in a robot will grant it to use and interact with other objects with very much better than anything designed previously.

A possible application for the humanoid machines would be as live in assistance for the disabled.
