Tropical Beach in England

Friday, September 28th, 2007

A online site which asks vacationers to discover a hidden  beach covered in palm trees in Cornwall that is infamous for its topless bathing has been shown to be a fake.

People wanting to explore the untouched heaven of white sand and tropical waters with “very hot stewardesses” - are sent on a reckless search  OUT of the county.

They are instructed not to be deterred by locals who may “pretend not to know” exactly where Porthemmet Beach is located.

But the name itself hints at the prank, because emmet is a Cornish word defining ant, but is used as a slang word used for invading tourist types.

The site, which has  its own online souvenir  shop, was set up by Cornish educator Jonty Haywood as a prank.

It has garnered a cult following inside  Cornwall and a organization of over 2,000 people have created a tribute on social  site Facebook.

Jonty says that sending people looking for an imaginary beach is funny, and is surprised people from other countries think they have a tropical beach in England.

The Cornwall tourism board is concerned that tourists will think Cornwall is hostile to them, that is not the case. Tourism is a very important part of the local economy.

Real Estate Test

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Today education is imperative. As we advance more and more, an increase in mandatory education will become evident and necessary.

Thankfully, there are some careers in which the certification is greater than a diploma. In these fields its possible to take a test, and upon passing it be certified to work in that field. Most sections of the Internet Technology field fall into this category.

So does real estate, a prosperous career to be sure, and if you have the proper study materials, and easy one to get into. make sure you have the materials you need to pass the california real estate test. Take it, pass it, get a dream job!

Wow!

Free Raleigh, NC Getaway

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Raleigh is a city is North Carolina. When you think of city, you might think of traffic, skyscrapers, crowds. A very steel and glass jungle comes to mind when I hear the word city. But thats because you have not visited Raleigh.

Raleigh offers the convenience of a city, with the feel of a town. Raleigh is a city that lets you feel cozy and at home. Is it because of the friendly and cordial people? Maybe it is because you dont feel like the city wants to chew you up and spit you out. People in Raleigh do not appear to be offended if you ask for the time, or directions to a nearby place. They almost seem pleased you considered their fine city good enough to come visit it.

Maybe you want to visit Raleigh, but think you can not afford it. I found it is not an expensive place to go to. It could be thats part of the “down home” attitude. The merchants don’t try to scalp the folks who spend time with them.

A big bonus is that there is a drawing that would allow you to win a Raleigh getaway. It includes the following:

-One night accommodations for two at the Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley
-$25 gift certificate to Bloomsbury Bistro
-Free VIP admission for two to Rum Runners
-2 tickets to the North Carolina Theatre
-2 tickets to the N.C. Museum of Art’s Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism
-2 tickets to Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences

Winning this would allow you to experience the kindness of these people, it would give you some knowledge of their traditional southern culture, catch a sporting event or just take a greta hike and watch the trees change color. I personally would go see Carolina Ballet’s Carmina Burana. Thats a great show!

Everyone should enter to win a FREE Raleigh Getaway. Its a great package at a great time of year. Who couldn’t use a Fall Getaway?

Ads Banned in China

Friday, September 28th, 2007

China has banned TV channels from  showing arousing ads for bras or sexy panties. Does this have anything to do with the big communist meeting next month?

China has also banned “sexually provocative sounds” from TV.

China has said they are cracking down on “low-brow and base” adverts for sexual toys and commercials or ads featuring celebrities attesting to the effectiveness of some medicines.

Spokespeople for the party claim that the officials who mange commercials must strengthen their political resolve, and empower the responsibility to society.

Preceding this ban, was the one that removed reality shows that had anything to do with cosmetic suregery or sex changes. Talent contests were banned during prime time viewing.

The edicts that have to do with social media have been coming fast and furious from Beijing lately.

The Communist Party only has congress every 5 years, during which the policies are rolled out and the leaders are appointed. Its a very sensitive ordeal.

TV media is encouraged not to report on activities in a hurry, and to ask what is best for China. “Strictly adhere to propaganda requirements.
