Pakistan’s court decided today that the former leader Nawaz Sharif, who was sent into exile in 2000 after a military staged coup, could come back to the nation, in what may be a direct defiance to Pakistan’s president, Gen. Pervez Musharraf.
Sharif, who dislikes the current government, heads one of the most powerful political campaigns against General Musharraf, and he desires to run opposite him for president in the upcoming elections. The decision might give fuel to the return to Pakistan of Benazir Bhutto, who was prime minister prior to Sharif, and has also been hiding and is a possible potential candidate to the presidency.
As a nemesis to both General Musharraf and Ms. Bhutto, Mr. Sharif’s return could force Washington to rethink their plan of backing the president as the pivot point of its war against Al Qaeda and the Taliban in the region, and many American officials’ desire to see the general and Ms. Bhutto in a agreement to share power in Pakistan.

Roughly 12 months ago many of the insurance agencies in the Midwest told their clients they would be ok to drop their flood coverage. How wrong they were.
People throughout the Midwest, but especially in Ohio have lost things from Christmas decorations, to wardrobes, toy, even irreplaceable photos.
This has been the worst flood ohio has seen in 100 years. More than one thousand homeowners evacuated their homes in Findlay. They are now beginging to return, and finding so much in ruins.
Furniture, clothes, memories. In one county, 700 homes were destroyed.
Sandbag crews tried to keep up, but in some parts the water rose to 26 feet.
At a time in our nations development when many people are still under employed and out of work, this destruction comes at a high price. Many people cant afford the extra insurance, and those that cant, cannot afford to repair. Its my hope that the federal government, will set up a fund to assist these victims.
The Ohio governor declared 9 counties in a state of emergency, but this only allows a maximum amount of 1500 dollars per family.
Some people will drain the retirement accoutns to rebuild their lives, i wonder how they will cope when they retire.

Scientists have determined how to test the urine of an entire community using a small amount of sewer water from that city.
The isn’t to determine any single user of illicit drugs. It would instead enable federal agencies track drug patterns and spread across the country.
OSU scholars performed the tests on 10 unnamed cities for drugs, prescribed and otherwise, from the sewers. They were able to give a good idea of the consumed substances. The results were presented to the American Chemical Society in the city of Boston.
The government has tried testing the waterways to see if its possible to drug test a whole city, but the students have made much more progress.
The chemical seen most was caffeine.

Two firefighters were killed and a half dozen others injured in a fire in an abandoned skyscraper adjacent to the Twin Towers site.
Smoke was seen from the fire and it panicked people concerned with toxicity.
These fears appeared to be unwarranted.
It seems the NYC fire department keeps taking hits. We salute these fine men and the efforts they put forth and the risks they take.
The injured men are recovering well. The cause of the fire is not apparent.

Yeah, we all want it, but how exactly does one get money? Theres the working method. Thats good for paying the bills, but suppose those the hot girl ( or guy) you want to impress, Fridays on its way, but your check it spent! Argh! The bills!
So here’s what i do:
I get a personal loan from a trustworthy lender, this gets me through the pinch, and can really impress the girl. *smiles*
Theres an alternative for those of us that require it, and its often the best and fastest choice, a secured loan will often do what you thought impossible.
Both of these options are viable and recommended. I have found the very low fee I pay is more than worth the pleasure and success I enjoy because of the extra money I possess on the weekend, or on vacation.
I enjoy UKpersonalLoanStore.co.uk because they are fast, friendly, have the best loans.

AT&T censored the popular band Pearl Jam.
At this past Lollapalooza AT&T played a pink floyd song during a song with lyrics that the media giant disagreed with. The Blue Room webcast that showed the concert to many many viewers was obfuscated.
When Pearl Jam was made aware of it, they posted a letter to all of their fans. Its available on their site. Whats more, I agree with them.
Pearl Jam is concerned about soemthing, and that something is media consolidation. SUppose that all the media corporations merge, in a sense, theres just one ISP, one tv station, one radio provider. And they dotn want a message to get to the masses, what then?
Hey as far as I know the constitution is still valid, and the bill of rights is intact…. But they cant sing a song because its not flattering to the white house? Do i smell the “third reich”? Indeed, no apology, or court settlement can right this wrong. A grave action has occurred, and if you are remotely aware of it, then you shoudl be worried, very concerned.
Suppose theres no net nuetrality? Then your emails just get lost… They remove your ability to communicate, or edit your communications to serve their needs. I think the possibilities are great, and worse, just frightening. AT&T is a big player in global communications, and i think their actions are completely appalling and grievous.
Pearl Jam is referring to the event as a “wake up call.” I am inclined to agree.

It’s a common thing for New Yorkers that want to go to Times Square to watch the festivities involving New Year’s Eve. If you are one of those people you should probably think ahead and plan on certain things that you may not consider when previously conceiving the idea to go to Times Square from your state. If you’d rather see in person than watch it on TV one of things you can want to do is make sure you wear layers of clothing in order to stay warm during the lengthy time you’ll spend outside in January.
Also allow you one have good standing shoes that are comfortable on because you’ll be standing for a long time. you should probably consider a folding chair to bring along. If you have no friends bring a magazine if you have friends at private good idea to bring them keep you company in an celebrate the new year. You should consider something with an interior pocket as opposed to having them on your pants in the event that you would get pickpocketed. My personal suggestion would be to also bring a camera and if you’re inclined take pictures of the event. You’ll want to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to be surrounded by loud drunken people. I would not drink a lot a liquid prior to going to Times Square to to the fact you have to use their disgusting Porta Johns and then attempt to fight your way back to the position which you may or may not have been taken by the crowd. There would be beverages available at various vending stations in the area, but they would be very expensive and not worth the money. And bear in mind you’re going to have to go to Times Square to reserve your spot. At least 10 hours in advance due to the popularity of the event but the excitement and fun it will be yours. When a thousand people yell happy new year after counting down and make it worth all the hassle and you will gain a lot of interesting stories to tell your friends and years to come

Theres no one place that can open your way of thinking, but i think that travel in general, especially on a world scale will definately open your mind. When you experience the life of another culture, and if you enjoy it, and embrace it, whether you choose to or not, you will grow as a person.
Europe is a wonderful place, if for no other reason than the fact you can simply board a train and make a day out of going to another country and back home again. You can go to Germany and then train to Switzerland, or Italy, or France etc. Then go see the Alps, its all right there. Couple that with the history thats visible and palpable in Eurpoe.
Imagine further, Africa. The culture there is still primarily intact. The vegetation unchanged. The animals more exotic and beatiful than that of any other place. The people are far kinder than the media would have you believe.
Some people make pilgrimages to the places they have roots, Ireland, England, Scotland, Norway, china etc. I think these are deep and meanful trips to many, much akin to a spiritual pilgrimage
