As The World Turns is a popular long running day time soap opera that has made a dramatic first. The television show has set their “first” by having the first daytime television kiss by a gay couple. It has been received by open arms by the gay fans of the show. I wonder if this will set the stage for other soap operas to follow suit or if CBS and As The World Turns will remain unique and hold that portion of the audience to themselves.
