George Bush has given specifics of a plan to assist Americans who could be losing their residences in the sub-prime crisis which has caused distress in money  markets worldwide.

Concern due to a credit crunch have disrupted stocks and increased borrowing costs all over the world, causing fears economic growth will be stunted.

The president said that people possessing loans who fall behind with their house payments would be asked if they want more protection.

By adding to the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), which backs up mortgage loans for low to middle income families, individuals with a beneficial credit/payment history who have dropped with their mortgage monthly disbursement would get some assistance to restructure their financial obligation at more favorable interest rates.

The presidents hope is that people who are currently struggling to refinance and reduce their regualr payments, and in that way keep their homes.

According to reports, the changes will allow another 80,000 homeowners to turn to the FHA, on top of the 160,000 who were already expected to use it this year and next.

The  crisis regarding sub-prime loans came about because borrowers loaned funds to people at low rates which speedily rose sharply, with people complaining about misunderstanding their loan.

The crisis moved to the credit sector on account of this debt was coupled  with other arrears and sold onward, causing perplexities over how vulnerable a multitude of financial institutions are to the critical issue at hand.

The president has claimed that the economy was strong enough make it through this, which the president said is just modest in size with relation the the size of the economy. He did note that if your family is having problems with their monthly payments it wouldn’t seem so modest.
