A man that was jailed for covertly taping a woman and a teenage girl has has brough a suit against a  police department to regain his vast porn collection confiscated during the investigation.

Dennis Saunders issued a lawsuit against San Rafael police  after the police refused to return some 500 pornographic movies and 250 smut magazines his attorney detailed as not relavent to the criminal case.

His attorney claims that theres no legal bias for witholding perfectly legal adult materials. He further contends the collection has a worth of more than 10,000 in video alone.

Saunders was placed under arrest in 2002 and legally charged with videotaping the 45-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl in their apartment. Saunders worked at the apartment complex. Saunders was convicted of 48 seperate crimes, and given more than 8 years in jail but got out early on good behavior.

The city’s lawyer said the police will comply under orders from a judge, and a ruling on whether its appropriate or even lawful to return the materials. Saunders has a record of peeping stemming from 1979.
