Obtain your occupational license, obtain your tax ID number or if you’re an independent contractor with no employees then just use your Social Security number.

Open a checking account in the company’s name with you as the only signer. Acqiure some paper checks. Inform the credit bureaus about your business, ask to open a record with them. Head over to Staples and open a business/revolving type credit card under the business name with only you being the signer. Buy something for your business on credit.
